KID CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BABY ACTION

(Fabio Tavares)

BABY ACTION is the perfect opportunity for small children (18 months to 3 years old) to safely begin exploring and expanding their physical abilities in a fun and caring environment with a parent or guardian (you'll have fun too!). So come bounce on the trampoline and swing on the trapeze with your little tyke!

LITTLE KID ACTION

(Leonardo Giron Torres, Ami Ipapo. Elizabeth Barnett, and Fabio Tavares)

In LITTLE KID ACTION, children ages 3-5 will begin learning basic Pop Action shapes and moves. The class will begin with a warm-up and stretch, and will continue with basic tumbling and apparatus-based activities. So, give your bed a break, and let your kids bounce on our trampolines and off of our walls instead -- they'll have fun while learning cool tricks!

KID ACTION

(Sarah Donnelly, Courtney Giannone, Kevin Lindsay, Leonardo Giron Torres, Ami Ipapo and Fabio Tavares)

The KID ACTION class will teach children both the philosophy and the physical technique behind Pop Action. Pop Action is the movement technique that has been developed by Elizabeth Streb. The students in Kid Action will experience the joy of moving their whole bodies and the thrill of defying gravity. They will learn to trust each other and that they need to be trust worthy. They will learn to take risks, but to look before they leap. They will learn to think of new possibilities and set high standards. These students will become critical thinkers and action specialists! Just say GO!

JUST JUMPING

Just Jumping is a Kid Action Trampoline Class taught by company member Cassandre Joseph.   Students will lean to jump, fly and even flip on the company's giant trampoline. The class is for students ages seven and up.  Classes will be held Tuesday afternoons at 4:45, starting on March 18th.  The class is $300 for a twelve week semester.

KID TUMBLING

Kid Tumbling is also taught by company member Cassandre Joseph, a former gymnast.  The class focuses on the acrobatic elements fundamental to the Pop Action technique. Students will have fun while learning everything from front handsprings to back flips.  Classes will be held Wednesdays at 3:45 starting on March 20th.  The class is $300 for a twelve-week semester.

KIDS FLY

(Liz Heinrich & Whitager Cohen)

In KIDS FLY, children are introduced to the thrills of the flying trapeze. All participants work at their own pace, wear a safety harness, and fly/swing over a big "pit mat". After learning some basic skills, they will work on mid-air catches! For more information on our flying trapeze program, please visit espanastrebtrapeze.org.
